Another level system novel, this one has poor writing style. MC has a system that relies on negative emotions for upgrade (kind of similar to "God Level Demon"), but the story development falls far short of expectations. MC has average intelligence (not very clever, but not too stupid either). It does not help that there are too many extraneous descriptions that do nothing to advance the plot (feels like the author is adding on conversations/ descriptions just to meet the word count requirements). Not highly recommended (try God Level Demon if you are looking for similar game systems- a far better read).

Agreed on both counts! And even more useless are the people who haven't read a single chapter (either on here or the original Chinese version), yet they write reviews and vote with either 1 star or 5 stars based purely on the synopsis... it's truly infuriating!!

Thanks for the review. I hate a novel with so much nonsensical word count who people can just skim through without the whole chapter loosing anything. But I'll try this one a few chaps latter, just to see how bad is it.

This novel is okay from my perspective (as of ch. 102 up to which I read the raws, it was slightly childish for my taste- maybe younger readers will like it more?). Those who like system novels+ cooking will actually like this. It's just that I had recently read God Level Demon, and kept comparing the two books (because of some similarities). Moreover, with predecessors like Strongest System, I'm Really a Superstar, Ultimate Scheming System, Gourmet of Another World, etc. my expectations are rather high.

This is better than some of the other novels we have to vote for/ have already voted for like Crazy Detective and Badge in Azure. This is an average/ okay novel which newer readers will probably like (who haven't read God Level Demon, Gourmet of Another World, IRAS, Ultimate Scheming System, etc.). Apart from the somewhat immature writing style, game system novels like this is my favorite genre
