A very sad 2/5 for its spark of originality. The MC is supposed to be like one of the primordial Gods in a newly made world. But he starts from 0 cultivation and has knowledge of the future like all other gods, but this futere can be altered. Confused? I dare say you will never meet a more INCONSISTENT novel ever. The time intervals are completely irrelevant. By chapter 2 the MC has cultivated for milions of years and then after many other years goes to impart cultivation techniques to the ordinary creatures which do not really know what its like. BUT in just 10000 years these commoners which have no preordained knowledge or countless treasure like the MC does, they achieve a jigher realm than the MC. This is just an example from myriad. The author just dumps a lot of random lore, impossible to remember or see the bigger picture. And the translotors, which are average at best, just translate it robotically. Lots of terms that are not explained is really annoying. For MC character, utterly illogical. An otaku apparently which magically transforms and becomes the most productive guy ever, because we k ow otakus are very hardworking. He cultivates for milions of years but still always thinks of his previous 0.000001% life on Earth. No character interaction whatsoever. This novel it is honestly pure sh1t, so don't give it a chance.

Yeah, it feels like the rough draft of the real story. A lot needs to be cut out, rearranged in a proper and timely manner to make it interesting. But some people will gobble up anything with cultivation in it, so authors can be lazy when they feel like it.
I was really looking forward to this, but you summed it up. I only got to chapter 3 and couldn’t read any more. This almost seems like a machine translation.
Same here i couldn’t read anymore after 10 chapter. I don’t understand the universe and the background of the story.
The reason this novel pure sh*t because author just talk, talk and don't show anything worth, just some parody magical skill! His description make all character don't have brain, and the speed chapter realease is slow like snail!

Gotta agree this novel is absolute crap, it has its upsides which if explored more could make it an extremely interesting story, it's just been executed poorly with no explanation of terms etc, most of this novel so far is just a large info dump with no real meaning.

Originality thing, i agree, but then again this was supposed to be based off myths and legends, so things are already there and author just uses the existing world for his novel. MC replaces Minghe from the myth, but considering he was just born it is pretty normal to start from zero. He has knowledge of future events because as was explained he is a fan/otaku of those myths and legends. Translator being bad i agree too, theres a ton of miss in grammar, punctuations and also missing texts/words. Plus the inconsistency of translation for some terms. Otakus are not all unproductive, in case you are being prejudice. Most of them works during the day and enjoy their otaku hobby during the night, or times they dont work. You mightve mistaken otaku with weebs. This MC is both a tech otaku and anime otaku, based off the info he gave out at times. Not saying i dislike your review, i agree with most of your points. The novel is pretty badly written at parts, plus author basically uses an obscure character to be his MC. At least this is a short story.

The first couple chapters...yes. You're right. But it gets better, way way better quick. I call it the author learning curve.

I'll go by paragraph as I give my opinions MC is reincarnated into the body of a primordial god. In most books they start off from low cultivation and like you said, the world is still brand new. Also other cultivators don't know the future, he just knows it from Chinese mythology. Yeah, the author does a time skip as soon as the book starts wh8ch is a bit of a sick move. None of the beast tribes (Kylin, Dragon, and phoniex) got stronger cultivation than him. That was the other primordial gods. Also they used merit for doing good deeds to cultivate rather than pure accumulation of supernatural power. Reason MC doesn't due that is because it makes tour cultivation unstable and harder to cultivate later on. Don't really dusaggre with the next two, lot of superfluous information that is unnecessary. I especially agree with thw fourth paragraph and the last sentence of that paragrapgh. Hardly any interactions, and the MC has been in like two f8ghts the entire book, and in no f8ght was his life ever in any danger. Mostly just him smashing some random cannon fodder of lower cultivation. Is it one of the top books on qidian? No. Is it good? Meh. But I need something to read in between updates and this is it.
I see your point. But this is not even one of the cheap novels I read for instant gratification. For this kind of novel I at least pick those with lesser info dump and some face smaking. Ex: Dao of alchemy emeperor or whatever

Umm, if you read a bit more you will find out why his cultivation is slower. Actually, he wants to cultivate using comprehension of laws which is slow but independent. The others use heaven's merit to cultivate fast but they are bound with heavens through karma. The mc on the other hand comprehends the divine laws so he is free from any karma from heavens and all his power is his own.
