As you have probably already guessed, the novel isn't isn't a gem but isn't completely awful. At best it's a nice time waster if you want to burn some time, but that's about it. Same old story you read a million times - kid picks up some ancient trinket and it sets the story off. This time it's set in the "future" so you get a scifi setting to make things less boring in way. The MC has amazing potential as martial artist/cultivator and the trinket will help him; he's got the classic poor background so you root for him as an underdog. It's probably too early to judge it as it's only 20 chapters in, but all the flags are pointing towards it being just another novel you'll probably save and forget anyway.

LIKEAlmost all the new stuff that comes into qidian is the 'same old ****'. I'm pretty bored at this point and most of the novels I read now are on the browser. You should give some Japanese or Korean novels a try. Just search for a top 10 list on any genre of your choice and the country where you want it to be from. It's much more fresh than reading the same chinese stuff.
No point. I've read almost everything that's been/or is being translated at the moment. Almost everything on novelupdates ranking list, etc, etc. Searching on qidian for a potential gem (which is hard as hell) is all that's left for me.
Lol good luck to you then bro. It truly is hard to find a good novel these days. The standards have just dropped too low.
If you could recommend me some that would be helpful.
Honestly speaking there isn't much out these days. I'd recommend, "The Second Coming of Gluttony" if you haven't tried it out already. WW's selection of quality novels has dropped as of recently so that place is sort of dead to me for now. Sad that DeathBlade ended up picking whatever novel he's doing now. Gravity's a crypt, Volare is boring, Qidian's a mess right now. If anything is nice, the newest volume for New Testament has come out, so that's really good.
Yeah you're right. Finding good novels is hard now. I'll check out new testament and the second coming. Thanks :)
I ran into a rut early on because I (very stupidly) did not create a proper plot chart (to pace myself and progress the main plotline accordingly). I ended up scrapping my story. I told myself I'd hard reboot the story and sort of procastinated up till now, alas.
Lol I can understand as I am also a huge procrastinator. Good luck with it if you ever do restart. Have a great day :)
Is it also, the second coming of avarice? That's what showing in WW
I dont know about japanese, but korean novels sure are some of the best I've read
