starts of good, then after about 80 chapters author forces drama and tries to make mc look resolute and cool.... sadly it comes over as incredibly childish and bratty, really out of character and annoying, all at the same time. killed the story for me.

Lol if it's anything like ISSTH then i doubt it... Mc never grows for sh*t... Dropped like 1000 chapters in because it got way too repetitive and mc started to annoy me ^_^
yehezkielesar:You should keep read it. Er Gen always start their MC in really human way, not fantasies way like 12 years old child to have mature mind and OP power. MC will grow overtime.
Meng Hao become a joke character for me as his two pets (that I perceive as bad for the story), considering the author obnoxious approach to "comedy". If this author focused in world building/exploration and cultivation, but right in the sinopse there a "protect loved ones".

I agree with you on that, but keep in mind that ISSTH is his third novel, his first novel was Renegade Immortal(almost no comedy) and Pursuit of the truth is the second, not as serious as RI but not nearly as comedically based as ISSTH(Just having some comedy relief until now). The second level of cultivation is pretty interesting btw.

Man Meng Hao was the best. He was so greedy and enjoyable as an MC. I think Er Gen has gotten even better at writing comedy. A Will Eternal is hilarious.
