I really liked this and wish more people had read it so it wouldn’t have gotten dropped. The first part of the story is fun progression and face-slapping. After that, it becomes much more epic in scope, and in my opinion it does a praiseworthy job of fleshing out various competing philosophies on how best to develop and expand civilizations in situations with limited resources and outside aggressors. This is kind of a spoiler, but toward the end of the novel, a stand-in for the author who is written into the story gives a very plausible explanation for why this novel didn’t do well: The first few hundred chapters are pretty cliche and forgettable, so people who are sick of these kinds of stories quickly stop reading. Then, after the first few hundred chapters, the novel transitions into something different with a slower pace, and this change makes the people who liked the first part of the novel stop reading. But new people who might like the stuff after the first part of the story do not have a good entry point so they don’t start reading. So at some point all you have left is the fraction of the original readers who were both fine with the beginning of the story and kept reading after the story evolved. This is definitely a cautionary tale for aspiring *writers*, but the novel is a good read for *readers* willing to stick with it.

and could you pass me the link of the page you use for the MTL

Shiveringjenny:The translation was dropped—the novel itself (and various side stories) is complete. There are like 3500 chapters altogether. I just recently finished reading the main story with MTL, which is 3200+ chapters, so there’s a lot of the story left for you to read.

I just googled the Chinese title of the book (修真四万年) and then went to some random site that didn’t have too many ads. I read it on my phone and the web browser I usually use, Chrome, auto-translates foreign languages as soon as you open the page. It’s pretty readable if you are used to reading MTL and have already read enough of the story in English to have a decent understanding of what is going on. I would definitely read as much of it in English through webnovel as you can because MTL always has lots of mistranslations, so you need to already have enough familiarity with the story to be able to recognize when something is being mistranslated and kind of know what it is supposed to say.
