Okay, I'm caught up to the latest chapter (141). Apparently, this story takes place in an alternate version of the current United States, where there are absolutely no resources at all for homeless people, not even for homeless children. Due to this, the protagonist and his mom are borderline anorexic. They don't always find food in the trash. 😑 The MC used to suffer severe domestic violence when he was a child, unfortunately for him, he lived in an alternate version of Ireland where no child protective services existed and no doctor, teacher, or neighbor ever wondered, why is this six year old full of huge scars and bruises? 😑 Anyways, his dad also beat up his mother quite regularly, so she decided to take the MC and emigrate to the States. I guess they snuck in since, for some reason, his mother didn't apply for asylum or any sort of governmental relief for her and her child and decided to go straight to being homeless. 😑 It's obvious that the author really wants the protagonist to have a tragic and traumatic background for some reason. That doesn't really bother me, but, like I said, it is really obvious. 😑 However, when it comes to his system, that's when I'm at a loss. That thing is useless. The MC has to train like crazy and he still has trouble beating other fighters who don't have a system. He's not even a tiny bit OP, and if he ever becomes that, it will be due to his own effort and dedication and not the system. Sure, the system granted him knowledge of Muay Thai and Brazilian jujutsu, but it was at zero proficiency at the beginning. It might as well have given him a physical fighting manual. The protagonist trains super hard every day to slowly build up his martial arts proficiency, just like people without systems have to do. You'd think an MMA system would let its host absolutely dominate any fight, especially given that this specific host never skips a day of training, but hey at least it provided him with a mouth guard, a pair of gloves, and a sandbag. All normal items that systemless people could just buy, except for the gloves, those are magical, they can turn from regular fingerless gloves into regular boxing gloves. The system also has a shop where the MC can buy normal food and healing potions that heals his bruises injust three days whenever he gets beat up in a fight. Can you believe it? someone with an MMA system can get beat up by normal human fighters. 😑 I suppose since he lives in a normal world with normal humans, the story would be too short if his system was even a little bit more useful. at the end, all I can say is, good job and keep it up 👍 It's not the best story but it's better than anything I could have written. 😅

LIKEwell depends 1.bro there are homeless people in my country who either beg or eat from trash 2.there are various kind of systems, either a super op one like the gamer system or just normal one that evens the playing field between mc and the rich 2nd generation young masters and then mcs talent goes boom no hate just wrote what came to mind i didn't check anything Thank you
Exactly my point. If the mc has a system but still ends up getting beaten after fights then I better stop waisting my braincells trying to imagine a 6 chapter fight and just go watch some regular fight on YouTube because to me , the system gives him no advantage at all. I don't get the fact that he has all the knowledge about a fighting style, he trains like mad yet still he doesn't dominate the fights
