Firstly Kudos on the author, because that guy knows his stuff. I don't know if he actually has that Fate-Knowledge Skill on EX+ Rank or just did heavy research for this book, but I believe Fate-fans won't be disappointed with the Lore or anything else. I am writing this review on chapter 9, but so far there are hardly points to criticize. It is rather lighthearted at this point, which is acceptable, because the MC is right now 15 years old, meaning we are still in the childhhod-arc, which will soon end and with progressing plot it will automatically turn darker afterall it is Fate. While lighthearted it isn't a story where the MC is completely chillaxed, shown in situations, where the MC is desperate to grow stronger. We are given insight into the world and also how some events in the 'background' affect the MC and his situation. Furthermore are the reasons/intentions of the interacting characters not only clear, which helps with understanding their actions, but also lore-accurate. These 2 points are not only seamlessly infused with the story development, but also, in my opinion, enhance the reading experience. So why did I only give 4 Stars in Updating Stability ? Because until now, one needs to wait for 2 days for a new chapter (sure the chapters are pretty long 3~5k, but still) and because there are pretty late uploaded it sometimes even feels like 3 days : ( . Overall a really enjoyable read ; ) . Also some personal plus-points about this story (WARNING SPOILER!): - No free wishes or something, but a transaction (meaning the MC gets benefits in exchange for something) -MC is pretty strong, while not overpowered (Think of it like that: the MC has the potential to be OP, but because of both his inexperience and age (both his and the present) he is limited for now) -MC is a noob regarding Fate-lore (while I enjoy reading a story about proganist, who knows how to use his knowledge to gain a edge, it is a trope that I have read too much currently and therefore like this approach of an MC who only has superficial knowledge) Personal minus-point (take it with a grain of salt): -Only 1 Female Lead, meaning NO-harem (this piont is both nice and sad, allow me to clarify; It is nice, because there will be no pokemon-catching here and we [the readers] will hopefully get a good romance-story 《as good or better as it can be in Fate》 ; It is sad, because many personal Waifus of us [readers] won't be making it to the promotion to romantic interest, which is kinda tragic, because FGO has many, but one can't have everything)

This fanfic is simply impressive. I rarely, if ever, find a fic where the lore is so well respected, in both the world building, and in how he portrays well known characters, as I don't find it hard to imagine most of them saying or acting in how the author portrays them. This is further shown when he summons his Servant, as they are not a prominent character in Fate, but he sticks to the lore on them, and even in the dream cycle, he follows the characters legends almost to the letter, but from their perspective. Another nice thing is that since the Mc is a Fate novice, we the reader get to learn side by side with him, allowing us to be on a relatively similar plane of understanding as the Mc, without needing to constantly check Wikipedia for the lore to understand what's going on. The most impressive part about it, is that it never comes across as condescending, weird or out of place when we learn a thing or two, and even with me knowing so much about the lore, I have been pleasantly surprised with how the Author has handled 'teaching' us it, without it getting repetitive. The Oc's are all well made, and lore accurate, making them refreshing to read about, as they seem genuine, and not just a plot device to further the story. The main character is clearly flawed in personality and is someone who starts out as a novice with all things regarding Fate, yet through the story he grows as both a person and magus. With the Grail War catapulting his character development, and it is a joy to read. The supporting cast is great, and I am find them as a great addition as they elevate the story. Another plus is that he has a proper family, as I am far too used to fanfictions having the main protagonist being an orphan or being distant with his relatives. While here, his mother plays a proper role in his life, and she is a good mother and is an engaging part of the story. The Servant he summons deserves its own long and detailed paragraph, but I do not wish to spoil who it is, but know that how they are characterized, and later change though the Grail War is impeccably handled. As I went from somewhat disliking the character due to who they were, and how they were acting towards best girl (You'll know who it is when you read), but now I can't help but love their character, and I wish the best for them and can't wait to see how the Author will handle their character, as I never expected to start liking them. When it comes to the story, the Author has clearly put in a lot of thought, and it feels natural for the most part, and very believable. Characters acting as they should, and the situation adapting to the changes are all handled well, and I am excited to see what the Author has in store for the finale of the Fourth Holy Grail War. When it comes to writing style, it is clear that he was a bit new to it in the beginning, but past chapter 9 he finds his rhythm, and the writing quality improves as a whole. I am as well very pleased with the chapters being so long, somewhere around four thousand words each if I am not mistaken, so that is a big plus. And the Authors consistency is great, as he posts at least twice a week, despite him having exams season. All in all, this has to be in my top five Fics that I have ever read, and I hope that Webnovel authors continue to impress like Leylin here. So, I wish you luck, Leylin Blackwood, and I hope you never drop this gem, as it would be a great shame!
