The problem of this story is that the author doesn't know the source material. He doesn't know that there was no inquisition in the 30 millennium. That's not all but the most glaring one. Basically, he knows a bit about Warhammer 40k and tries to write a story about 30k without knowing that 30k pre heresy and 40k are vastly different.

LIKEWhat does The Inquisition have to do with religion and in case you forgot he let Lorgar worship him for some time. I know Warhammer lore quite well and I knows The Emperor hates religion. The Inquisition doesn’t just deal with religion it also deals with other dangerous secrets that should be covered up
"It is generally accepted that the Inquisition only solidified into its truly modern form some time in the middle of the 32nd Millennium after the formal birth of the Imperial Cult as the state religion of the Imperium, some 800 Terran years after the end of the Horus Heresy." Your argument is "Trust me bro, I totally know about Warhammer". It's obvious you don't.
It’s also badly written. Like, just read The Emperor (chapter 5 I think) and try to figure out how the Hell everyone magically knows about the Imperium and their membership in it. It’s like NPCs in a videogame knowing you stole something on the other side of the map even though you didn’t get caught.
Bro is a certified hater, like who hurt you brudda?
just read it it gets more fleshed out as you go it is easily one of the best non-harem fanfic au's on here honestly im surprised at how much work was put in on each person if you don't believe me just read the last 4 chapters (117-121)
Ma, good Warhammer fic is rare, and unlike some other authors, this guy Redcon edited and corrected any mistakes he made depending on the effort required to rewrite it. For example, your inquisition problem became an informal causality joke of not alerting the non-existent inquisition or leaving evidence for any future inquisitioner.
