Ps: in terms of the Hiruzen take, personally I’m just a bit tired of him being portrayed as a corrupt politician with low morals (although, rightfully so). The novel so far hasn’t expanded on that, but I am not mad about it. Reminds me of how I always do the guy when I watched the anime for the first time as a kid))

Yup, Hiruzen is still the corrupted politician, but we are watching it from Sora ‘s Pov, so he is seen as a kind grandpa, tbh, I dislike the idea of Hiruzen and clan heads good and Danzo bad… this irks me for some reason as life is not black and white but rather grey , so I try to be diplomatic in they terms, glad you are liking the novel so far, the peak of novel is approaching ie ch 25(ch81-84), I hope you look forward to that as I definitely am

Can you be a bit more specific on this because there is generally 2 versions of hiruzen in fanfics 1. The worse then Danzo version or 2. The nice grandpa who can’t even count his fingers and neither one really fits how I ever viewed him. The best version of hiruzen I have seen was from The Wind Calamity who’s only tried to be the best leader he can for years whatever good or evil he had to commit but in his later years especially after the nine tails attack, he’s tired and doesn’t want to enter another war while he’s hokage so he made a couple bad decisions and mistakes. Basically to sum it up just how much of a corrupted politician is hiruzen in your fic?

You can assume it as wind calamity one for now , some actions will change how you perceive him later probably , I was too inflened by wind calamity at the time of writing as the plot holes and character designs and depth is good dealt in wind calamity

I mean yea sure the world isn't black and white and the clan heads are definitely not saints. But they did not ruin every single genius to come out of konoha or even turn them against konoha entirely like Danzo did.

I mean strength. We are talking about the world of naruto. Strength is everything in the shinobi clans. Name me one clan head who somehow became clan head by scheming against their competitors. Obviously danzo doesn't count.

I totally understand your point about presenting Hiruzen this way, and I appreciate that the novel shows the complexities of the characters beyond the simple dichotomy of good and evil. This touch of gray adds depth and makes you feel the diversity of thoughts and situations. I’m so glad I’m enjoying what the novel has to offer so far, and I’m so excited to reach the climax in the upcoming chapters! I’ll definitely be waiting impatiently for chapter 25.
