You will either drop it this the moment he starts sobbing like a baby or you'll trudge through to realize the MC just wants to be an Extra. Slight Spoilers of course. Leo/Azazel/whatever he prefers, our MC is an okay guy. He's not exactly the most dependable dude out there. He's just a guy who wants to do what he wants and wants to find something he can find truly interesting. There's nothing wrong with that obviously. The only thing that bugs me though is as a reader who reads from that perspective things can feel a bit dull at times. We know this is an Extra type of character based on the novel's name. What we should be aware is this isn't one of those Extra type of MCs who breaks out of being an Extra and grows into a full fledged character who stands in the spotlight while using some knowledge he has to push himself to greater heights. Okay maybe a bit but not to what you'd expect. Nope not at all. What we got is a guy who pretty much has probably one of the greatest talents in the world for almost anything he sets his mind on but doesn't really try cause A. He's too good it gets boring to fast and B He just prefers to be sidelined. If I wanted to be nice about it I'd call this type of MC a coward and trust me I'm trying to be nice with that term. Now after reading up to the current number of chapters it's dawned on me that it seems set to go in this direction for his mindset, just trying to be an extra. You'll notice hints throughout. Him not wanting to be #1, not trying to really fight, or just him outright stating it. His mindset isn't wrong honestly. What's the problem is he's too damn weak for his conviction to even matter. Should've been obvious the moment he almost got smacked by a titanic mind reader to I don't know... train? You would've thought knowing some imminent threat would make the MC try to train but honestly there's been only one dedicated training scene and him chickening out cause of his family glaring at him. It's quite obvious the only reason he kept up against everyone else was him being an Intermediate rank 3rd Mana Core at the start and his slight knowledge. Also I should mention the weak to strong tag is 100% accurate. He's pretty weak not pathetic but slightly above average at best. Everyone else just thinks he's overpowered which he isn't. And don't expect him to be either. Score: 7 out of 10. Give it a try. Personal Score: 6 out of 10 Not a fan of this type of main character personally. Maybe someone else will enjoy these type of MCs who like being an actual Extra. I will say the side characters are probably the reason I got this far. Solomon, Jasmine and even the actual protagonist is fun and or interesting. The MC? Kind of a downer but I feel it was written that way on purpose. Again not for me personally. I hope that doesn't offend.

LIKEHow is the MC weak or above average if he is the best of his age? I think you want a 16 year old boy to already be able to face enemies with years of experience with less than 5 months of experience in the world, when he is able to face people 2 years older with ease. And a work of cultivation, there is no way the MC is already overpowered facing people above his level class with ease, but facing his peers much higher in combat levels.
how are you calling the MC weak? my brother in Christ— on multiple occasions is he stated to be possibly the strongest 16-year-old out there, and although I know this isn't necessarily fair to you, as you haven't read further chapters, he actually ends up being rank one in the rankings which is extremely uncommon for novels of this type, along with that, it seems like after this review the author took a change and sort of removed the ' I'm an extra so I'm going to stay like that' personality.
I read up to 78 chapters and stopped buddy. I was already caught up around the time I made my review. I did not like his behavior and it killed all my enjoyment to read further. If you like it. Kudos to you. I will find something that doesn't leave a bad taste in my mouth. Have a good day.
