just finished it, and I really hate betrayal... so regardless of what the author decides, Scathach will always be a traitor, for me atleast... pros, cons, gains, future, any reasons does not matter... a betrayal is always a betrayal, and first impression matters... as I said What Happens Once, can Happen Twice, and will always Happens Infinite Times... it would be great if MC also willingly dispose Scathach someday with indifference and for his personal greater good... Scathach did it for her personal ambition anyway p.s MC is a masochist

In order to evan get training from Scathach, you'd need to survive traveling through the land of shadow, and a young Cu Chuliann survived in the land of shadow in order to get training. His attitude didn't help either. She is also the warrior queen, so it isn't out of character. It's just the Mc luck that he got her, and he could've gotten worse.

OK, I take back some things I said Scathach would've probably helped in character.

Sounds like the actual Scathach, you wouldn't get the Friendship of Thighs if you couldn't even get out of that place. Cu had to travel around the Land of Shadows to be accepted as her student, if the MC couldn't even work his way out of the cage and free himself, he is unworthy to be trained. And it's not actual betrayal, as Sca didn't bow, kneel, or give her oath of loyalty yet. He just summoned her, that's about it. Sca's bar is high, anyone that has followed Scathach's lore in Nasuverse would know that this is just Scathach being Scathach, and the author is probably trying to make her not OOC as much as possible.

Ya I agree, he has to earn the right. It would be kinda bland for him to get trained just cause he summoned her.

my only problem with this work so far was the speed with which the protagonist changed, he was just thrown in a prison (he wasn't tortured or anything like that, just a little despised) and he had an absurd determination to be strong, he was beaten and get up without any problem, like a warrior who participated in several battles, being just an otaku with a weak body/will, that was what bothered me most about this work, if the change had been more gradual, with him suffering and changing Because of that it would be much better.

Okay, I have absolutely no idea why this fanfiction has such high ratings. The premise is indeed interesting, but the amount of brain cells I have lost due to reading this fanfiction are uncountable, which makes it not worth it. The MC is braindead, a simp, and just a plain idiot. There is indeed a little character development at the start, but it is just so insignificant. He makes a lot of stupid decisions, and the Author isn't any better. To be honest, Scathach shouldn't even have that kind of attitude. I won't talk about this matter much since another person complained about it, but her attitude, and the reasons for her so-called 'betrayal' are plain stupid and look forced af. Some canon characters aren't even portrayed accurately. Like, the Author literally portrayed Tiamat and Aphrodite(the one from Danmachi) as evil and malicious, which is pretty damn annoying as this is too much OOC. There is also the fact that the MC is incompetent in pretty much everything. The guy literally allows everyone to walk over him, and he doesn't even have the balls to stand up for himself at times. He is also useless at fighting as he fights with his damn fists when he literally has a skill that makes him skilled in any weapon. And he doesn't even use his system correctly because he only buys useless equipment, and no skills or abilities when he already has so many 'points' To be honest, this is the first time I am writing such a negative review, but I can't help it- it is really difficult to resist writing anything negative about this fanfic as it just frustrates me so much to read this. There are also not many negative paragraph comments to purify my soul, so I can't help it

Even with the changed protagonist name. This novel reeks of CN fanfic from miles, and with that comes all the bad things about CN fanfics. The MC was written as a naive and useless modern man, then in the span of a few chapters with bad decisions, transformed into a typical psychopathic CN MCs that, despite all his psychopathic tendencies, let WOMEN walk all over him like a doormat. Yes, women, because he won't take any bs from men but if it's a woman, he'll suddenly grow conscience for them even if they treated him like shit. Then he went from hating Scáthach for betraying him to suddenly glazing her, to the point of worshipping the very ground she stands on. So he's not just a doormat but also bipolar, an absolute beta. I don't know, but this is just too much wrongs and disgusting things in the span of a few chapters and the future is not looking good. As always, if an author managed to disgust you with their writing once, they can absolutely and will absolutely do it again. Man.. The only thing that gets this novel's rating to 2 star is the full score in update stability.
