So, to get the criticism out of the way, I don't know that alternating between the ML and FL point's of view every other chapter was the best idea. I've been skipping the first few paragraphs of each chapter because a lot of rambling information is thrown at you that really interrupts the flow of the story. In some instances, there's such a huge tangent that it almost feels like the author wrote the introduction to a new book! An editor would be a huge help I think. But, the characters are definitely unique and well-written. The world they're in is a bit small, in order to keep the story centered around these two poor individuals who can't sleep and think about little else. It's definitely a bit of a slow-burn, I'm about 25% in, and neither character has shown any romantic interest in the other. I can't wait until Derek gets a reality check once he falls for Emily, living her simple life! Overall, a cute, lighthearted, easy read, without a lot of drama or misunderstandings (at least so far). Absolutely worth a look!
