MC supposedly is a person who wants to slack of but the in first’s chapters already is okay with going after the position of Hokage, it would be understandable if he was just saying so people stopped bothering him but it doesn’t appears to be so

You do realize Kizaru was an Admiral which had responsabilities far amounting to a Hokage position of a small nation right?
And kizaru was not lazy person he only does what his position entails while everyone take their marines position like a title he takes his position as a job where he has to perform some tasks to get paid

Yes and he did his job perfectly people can't find faults with him or say he did worse than other expect ofcourse sengoku and now akainu
