I think it's because this is a world with Visions which grants power to ordinary people and it is publicly known that MC is Traveler. That's why despite having the powers to rival the Archon he can still be considerd as human in their eyes as well as Morx is such an iconic figure that it difficult for people to accpect anyone as his replacement.

I think it's a law of the world that killing a god has some kind of negative effect on the place where the god is killed.

I mean even if she does see some secret project it's not like she understands anything in high level alchemy. Besides their Archon can understand the core principle of any electronic device just by holding it so what's their hide.
