look I usually don't mind no-harems, in fact, I sometimes like them depending on the world, but sending the mc into Danmachi of all places and then say no-harem is just absurd, if it was something like marvel, Warhammer, dc, Skyrim... etc I would be totally fine with that, but sending the mc to a heavily harem focused world like danmachi and not give him a harem is just wrong.

I don’t consider an anime harem if the mc doesn’t actually get with more than 1 girl. Bell has literally rejected some of the girls who like him since he only wants Aiz, hence danmachi is not a harem.

Yeah I get what you’re trying to say but so far the story has had opportunities to go the harem route but hasn’t. Just cause all those girls like him doesn’t mean Bell is a harem mc. The only girl Bell trying to pick up is Aiz

he's actually right the author of danmachi has locked down the air x bell pairing, he's just using the harem trope with the other girls to bring more fans and because it's a shonen code. I mean the guy is so focused on said pairing that he went into a hissy fit and made an entire AU where bell loses and everyone dies when he's not in love with aiz and thus doesn't get Liaris Freez, just because people kept asking him for different pairings.
