Because webnovel did away with the after chapter comments section that could also allow readers to go directly to the review section. now, readers actually have to take time and go to the book directory listing to do it. it is inconvenient, so why bother? also, unless I'm mistaken, the rewards section for doing reviews was done away with around the same time Webnovel stopped using that fake Reader group to artificially inflate book listings via reviews, etc. (yes, they used to pay people to bs on books that really really sucked!)

first thing I do when I start a new book is look at the reviews. all the ones posted by level 1 accounts are automatically ignored since we all know they are clone accounts of the author. next I unlock the first paywall chapter and check the comments section. if there are no comments then it means the author could not hold an audience. after that I look at the ticket and powerstone votes. even if all of those three things turn me away I will still give your story a chance as long as the chapter price is reasonable. 15 coins per chapter on a book with no legit ratings, no votes, and no paywall comments is not reasonable.

This novel just gets stupid around chapter 190. You spend several chapters away from the MC and then the author just starts name dropping random kingdoms and people with no rhyme or reason. Not only that but the MC who's integral to the Dragons is off on his own constantly near death with his magical powers sealed. His weakness is justified by suddenly saying that a master rank is not sufficient in warfare to make an impact when previously it seems like he's knocking down grandmaster level problems albeit with some struggle.
