👀✨ In a way, this book is quite a challenge for me because I delve into themes that I do not know much of, such as Japan, the pregnancy trope, the system trope, and mixing it with transmigration to boot 😁😁😁. I have also loved to learn new things as I write, and I trust you will learn a lot as you read too. I picture Midori as a sweet girl with a lot of love but a strong sense of self preservation. She needs it to survive in the Meiji Era, where women are still considered beneath the men. Ryouichi is your typical ex who appreciates a toy after it is broken. Whether or not he deserves the toy depends a lot on him. Akiyama is constrained by the ideals of a Japanese wife he is supposed to marry. As you can see, Midori's situation can be referred to as disastrous. Kiyoshi is rich, powerful, and is used to having whatever he wants just by asking for it. Women throw themselves at him. So what will happen when there is actually a woman who doesn't do that? Not to mention that that woman is far from being desirable thanks to her difficult circumstances. Kiyoshi can ignore her and move on, of course. But our sweet boy likes challenges. It raises a question as to whether his fondness for challenges will one day morph into an undying love for Midori. I wish my readers a lot of joy reading this novel. I will take you up and down. Maybe you will cry, but you will laugh a lot more.
