I don't write reviews but this novel seems great so I will write my first one in hopes that more people will read it as well. And if you think about whether to give it a try after seeing this review?Well read it and see for yourself if you like it as well.

Well MC is annoying. I mean there is so much self doubt, always thinking and so many internal monologues. I mean he thinks so much, questions so much, there are so many "flashback" info dump about the past game knowledge constantly it gets boring. He also has a beta personality a little which is irksome. Rather than talk or say things and take action there is so much speculation it gets boring. MC is not a man of action, also he is an idiot. MC is in a life or death situation which would risk not only his fiance, her maid (assassin), all because he jumps out to save a cat. I mean this is idiotic as there was no way to tell how it would go. Also his weapon being a shield (which is a animal that transforms into a shield) is kind of boring. Also in most novels where due to having knowledge of the game MC can find cheats etc well this world is too restrictive. MC even despite knowing so much about game doesnt really know what to do. Also MC has no cheats or abilities which were hidden. He has high magic, but cant use magic but his unique ability is to only be able to use physical attacks but his physical body is weak compared to others. Then he decides to use the shield but I mean if your agility is slow how can you defend properly? The premise and story are interesting but the execution is tedious and not worth it for me and not engaging enough

so, the only problem I am having is that the MC is an idiot why you ask? well, a maid is simply disrespecting the MC who is a royal and he does nothing about it because she is one of the other 100 heroines. dude if the royalty is disrespected then that person can lose their life and here, he is like ok you can freely insult me go ahead. sorry but the MC's behavior ruined the story for me, so I am out.

The story is literally in the title already, so you have to shutdown all your braincells because the only relevant in here is the Yandere and not the MC at all. -MC doesn't have any ambition at all despite being a prince and he want to become a worthy man for his fiancee, a prince yet still not worthy enough? then why not become the Emperor, oh yeah he doesn't have any ambition other than surviving while making more enemies. -MC always try to avoid or push heroines away from him. Of course what MC doing is just fueling up the hatred/dislikes from him so making more another death flag so its useless anyway. -This kind of MC cannot kill despite he is in era of medieval, something that in unavoidable. -If you just want to waste time reading a RomCom Yandere like this, then this 1 is for you. I don't recommend this. remember, MC doesn't have any ambition, MC also irrelevant.

The main character uses a shield as his primary weapon. His fear of deviating from the plot is misinterpreted as kindness by his fiancée. He cries during their second meeting. I am okay with character development, but not when I disagree with almost every choice he makes.

review at ch 47 The pacing and characters are well written. I do see that this takes on a strong Japanese novel type of writing where the male mc is a oblivious/effortless lady killer while still being timid or cautious. This is still the beginning of the novel, so MC still has a bit of his naive side while the FL is gushing over his everything with rose tinted glasses (including his kindness). He doesn't really support fighting and he doesn't want to kill. I do hope he gets over his kindness or naive mindset. He doesn't want revenge (where I read), but just wants to avoid the main characters despite them despising and trying to tarnish him. In turn, I'm waiting for the MC to grow a backbone to get things done and have some charisma. Good read, but I am frustrated with this character at the moment. If this is what the author had in mind though... it's working.
