Initially I was very excited to read this book. The storyline began very differently from the other novels. But as I read on, the female character, Huang Ying Yue, slowly came across as boring and insipid. I know that the author tried to portray her as a “humble and sincere” person but the description “dull eyes”, and how she kept trying to be so “low-keyed”, etc. adds to the boring and insipid feeling that I get about this character, so much so that I skimmed through the chapters. It’s a pity because this plot is so different and it can be so exciting and interesting.

First of all, thank you for your review dear. Secondly, may I ask which chapter are you on? Thirdly, may I ask if you have noticed the genre? based on the name you told me, you didn’t surpass chapter 200+ Because this is a slow pace novel. Characters need slowly developments and the story also need to slowly went from normal to blood exciting when the secrets unfold. As the story progresses, every characters started to grew. Especially, the Female Lead whose character was dull and slowly change later. I mainly write fantasy with realistic and everyone has to go on adventure with all characters so see how much they’ve grown and developed. Humble and low-key, being humble is to those who deserve her respect. Being humble didn’t mean that she would allow them to step on her head. low-key, that is because it has yet the time come, when she has to show her true power. Low-Key, that is to protect her peaceful time, until she grew up strong enough to beat her powerful enemies who are more powerful than her. If she was limelight from the start, during when she just become strong, do you think that her enemies would let her go? I mean a powerful, very powerful enemies which I think you haven’t reach that chapter when they showed up yet. If you wish to see a type of Main Character who was perfect from the begining, and show his/her power tor everyone who come and provoke MC, and MC must do a face slapping everytime without thinking of the consequences, I can say that this book isn’t for you, dear. I never expect a perfect character. My review was because the female character was portrayed in such a way that she came as dull rather than “humble, low-key”. I believed that a “humble, low-key” person can be somewhat interesting as well. My impression is that the plot is different and can be very interesting. To me if only this female character is a bit more interesting than being so insipid.
