As someone with a preference for Villain like characters who work in the realm of morally grey, I can hands down say YueYue thus far in my top list of favorite Female leads. I’m particular about what I read not because there aren’t plenty of books that aren’t good but because I read too much into character settings and character depth and end up fixating on certain aspects so while they’re good, they don’t immerse me as the author has done with this story. I was worried when I read about how kind YueYue is, skeptical to say the least ( maybe I’m a villain as well) because their actions and words don’t tend to aline with the characters settings portrayed. YueYue is sincere in her actions and words, she holds her values and ethics closely, she determined to stick to those values but also to grow and adapt in a different world while maintaining those beliefs she’s certain of. The author has done wonderfully in showing the emotions the characters feel, the world setting explained with details that don’t feel too drawn out, and immersing the reader into the realm our Author has weaved. Magical it is of course. I look forward to reading more. Oh and there’s lots of laughs as well~~ other readers👀👀 come and join the potato club~~~
