The idea is interesting, but nothing more. The author is not friendly with logic. The system is too complicated for him, because it involves elementary mathematics. The hero is also not pleasant to associate with. Named characters also live, simply “because”.

LIKEI don't remember what I meant anymore. But I guess what we're talking about is that you're "afraid" of killing off "important" characters to avoid changing the plot or for some other reason, which makes your story illogical and inconsistent, and just plain annoying at times like this. This is a common mistake new writers make. You either need to not let the conflict with the "important" characters get to that point, or you don't have to be afraid to kill them off. After all, they can always be replaced by someone else.
