Why did you have to turn him into a woman? It reminds me of those fanfics that change the gender of the protagonist just to stay with the harem. It seems more like an internal desire of the author. I'm sorry, but I can't continue reading. I don't like it when they change characters' personalities or genders just to please their MC.

LIKESo you are rating an entire piece of work low just because a single character got genderbent? It is fine if you don't like something specific, but rating a fan fiction so low just because of such a preference is quite petty. Though I am not really sure what is the problem here. Sure, one character got genderbent- but will a fan fiction get ruined by such a small change? Of course, I respect your preference. But if gender bending a certain character makes you stop reading a fan fiction...Well, that is again, espectable, but ignoring worl-building, story progression, grammar and everything else in a work is not It just rubs me the wrong way. You saw Rimuru being a woman, and you automatically stopped reading and rated this story low without even seeing the interactions or the development that occured afterwards.
I admit I went a little overboard in the rating; I'll leave it at 3 stars. I've seen DanMachi and DxD fanfics in which they change the gender of Issei and Bell, and it bothers me the blatant way in which they do it just to keep the harem of the protagonist, now turned into a woman. I feel like by doing this the original character is lost and becomes an OC. It seems that they only change her gender to make her one more member of the harem or to prevent her from competing with the protagonist for girls.

I know what you are talkinga about, I have seen it in fanfictions too. In Danmachi, they often make Bell, Bella, and in DxD... Well, they either gender bend Issei, or they kill him Personally, unless the genderbent character is too much OOC, I do not mind this change. In such works, something of course has to be done on the protagonist of the original source, otherwise it will become a problem for the MC of the fan fiction. Of course, they don't have to necessarily join the MC's harem. Most authors do it so the MC can get the female characters all to himself without the protagonist obstructing them. It is not the best way to do so, but it does work I just hope that your focus is more on the genderbent's personality and interactions. I mean, if they're personality stays mostly the same, and they're developments and interactions are quite great, then isn't it fine? I might be biased here, but if they're essence stays mostly the same, and they are only just a different gender, I don't really see the issue
