Simply excellent, both in terms of the concept and execution. The writing style, the depictions or differing characters thoughts and emotions, and the overall tone of the story are all woven with high competence. The MC’s perspective is written brilliantly and the disconnect he has with the people around him is wonderful and I hope remains consistent until the MC has children or something. The only flaw I can point to that prevents this from being up there with the best naruto fanfics I’ve ever read is the author leaving some information out in favor of fast pacing. I want to hear the creatures thoughts on chakra and it’s training and development of techniques. I love those details and seeing how an author can further flesh out a power system that was not fully explained in canon. Also, the MCs intelligence is a bit inconsistent. He will detect some plots instantly and be a hyper genius at one point, yet he somehow did not read deep enough into the situation with itachi. Though, he is seemingly looking into that now. Anyway, nitpicking aside, I am giving this story an 8.8/10 and a strong reccomendation. If you do not like the first few chapters I can say that it gets much better after the first few. Looking forward to more.

haven read it but that synopsis sounds extremely familiar to a Japanese mamga i read and dropped. basically about 2 dudes that were gay but didn't tell each other, then one of the gay dudes was eaten/killed by an eldritch thing. that eldritch thing then was infatuated too with the other gay guy.dropped it cause it was gay stuff, thought it would be about 2 good friends not a secret gay couple. anyways is this story similar to that?

Story is alright but pretty much every scene of interest is obscured to maintain a air of mystery. Basically it's the usual edgelord stuff with fewer details and largely written in the now. Don't expect a wave mission, or detail in important scenes. The author prefered to elude to them of keep them abstract. It's not a bad way of writing, certainly different, but as a result using the criteria wn gives me to rate with, it doesn't score as high as it would if based on personal opinion. I find it a fun read, but on the technicalities due to the way it's written, it suffers in score.

Besides the start being slightly confusing and slowly getting used to the 2nd tense, everything has been perfect. Great mix of villainy-ness and scheming packaged in Sasuke’s background with an Author willing to change the plot. Good stuff.

One of the best stories I have read so far. The quality easily scales up to some bestlellers like LOTR. I am just a little confused why the author would write a fanfiction when he could just as easily create an original story of his own with that skill.

Absolutely amazing. It doesn't pointlessly rehash canon - just the bare minimum to understand how the Thing that is Sasuke feels or thinks about certain things. It also introduces new changes, a fair few of which are butterfly affects of this Sasuke different from canon Sasuke. Certain canon missions that may or may not have been skipped over due to the changes echo later on down in the story. They aren't forgotten or glossed over, contrary to some reviews I saw stating so.
