Super Saiyan is a multiplier not a set value. You could be a very weak super Saiyan.

you need to be a certain strength in order to transform into a Super Sayain though hence them being as strong as if not stronger than Sayain saga Goku (they tag teamed android 18 so meh)

18 only got serious at the end, pretty much instantly ending the match. And there is nothing about a minimum strength. The time shenanigans with Bardock in the past stories show that much. Toriyama was simply horridly inconsistent, and even forgot major characters and plot points.

the bardock special was basically retconned by the manga and other cannon materials bardock going Super Sayain isn't cannon (there's also the fact that toriyama basically had zero to no input on the episodes he basically drew 2 character designs and left)the movies are basically all in their own timeline/alternate universe with their strengths or events in the movies being different from cannon (gt is also AU) the only cannon film's are DB super broly and the new one dragon ball super herobasically in cannon bardock has never gone Super Saiyan in both the anime and manga he's only went Super Sayain in non cannon materials that didn't have toriyama's input (movies, and games)

And another proof of not needing a certain strength is Goku manhandling Trunks when he returns from yardrat Future trunks had his super Saiyan ability far longer than Goku, yet still got whooped, even after fighting the androids for years.

More talented maybe not i think that with the sayan race if the parents are stronger the kids are stronger too. Look bardock was a bottom barrel sayan for power with goku at 2 or five power when he is born but when gohan (sayan saga) was a few hundreds (if remember correctly) without training and goten well like you said he can enter like trunks easily into super sayan mode. So the stronger the parents are strong the child will be strong, imagine if chichi was always training she could be way better than roshi then gohan could have been a thousand power at sayan saga. Or if goku got another child at the end DBZ the child would fly out of his/her crib.

Chichi was around as strong as roshi going off power levels (she only has 50 less then roshi during the the king piccolo arc but shes stronger than 21st Budokai Jackie chun by 40) Gene however is never mentioned as haveing a low pl but she didn't like fighting she was a low class sayan low class have a bp of 1,500 or lowerafter the 23rd Budokai she becomes a house wifegohans pl was 3 and only went up during his rage moments therefore I think your theory has some holes in it
