Chapter 141 here The novel is overall good, the pacing is somewhat slow but bearable. I gave this novel 5 stars because I'm biased to Sci Fi novel but also it's possibilities to be one of those novels in top 10 ranks. The only thing bad here is the fillers and the irrelevant chapters in the story aside from giving the MC it's characteristics it's nothing aside from having it somewhat connection to the current story. What takes this novel from taking off the charts from other novel is the MC "INDEPENDENCE". it's not like other novels where MC learn from academy or other sect he participated from but becoming an apprentice to one individual under a brand name. Spoon feeding MC resources and gears takes away the novelty of Appreciation and Fulfillment. Unlike the Mech Touch even though it's expansive chapters, the novel pace and situation is a "Meh" for me. I'll even read the long chapter/fillers of mech touch explaining how he makes the machine works in special way than to his peers. How taxing and hard to start his own Company without help from outside. How unfavorable the situation is despite taking deals that only have short term benefits. it's way better when things progress in his direction. The fulfillment of seeing the creation bearing fruit is front of your eyes is hard to describe. To tell you the truth I skip and skim some the chapters (141) I read in your novel. like the in depth interaction of Vanessa and MC and the conversation of Mary and MC. So far I'm a little disappointed, his main class is mechanic but we only see him do repairs, learning (I don't what ge is learning aside from bits of information). One creation process but still spoonfed him. I don't feel any exciting feeling when reading Sci Fi novels. I think the biggest flaw here is "MC really doesn't have anything that his, he didn't create something special only for him" he don't have "Independence, to explore and experience and innovate his creation" that's why the legendary mechanic is good since he is independent entity and mech touch top tier since MC walking his own path of mech designer. Your MC is still doesn't have an identity aside from seeing his main class is mechanic. MC I feel still not mechanic in my eyes.

I agree with his review and I just want to add some more perspective. As a reader I can't feel anything while reading your work. At first I was excited, a mech apocalypse what an interesting premise, I thought. And then when he got to the settlement everything becomes bland, 120 chapters and he is still in the settlement. You haven't even explored what other advantages he got. I don't want to lower your star review so I wont drop a review with stars, but my honest review is 4stars only. I also like fast paced novels and yours is too slow for me so imma drop it at chap 150, good luck though.

Completely agreed with you that the MC's path of Mechanic is indeed inferior to the likes of Han Xiao from The Legendary Mechanic and Ves from The Mech Touch. My MC's background and setting are different than the likes of Han Xiao and Ves. Ves comes from a family background of mechanic, and as for Han Xiao, he knew about the world he was in (given that it's a game), so he knew a lot of information and could capitalize on that fact to become independent. However, Shi Tian here is different from them. Shi Tian awakened to a world filled with unfamiliarity, as in everything was different than what he had lived through. Not to mention, he doesn't have the intensive background knowledge like the two MC, so he had to learn from scratch. Waking up with nothing, Shi Tian could only become an apprentice and have some resources given to him by others, because he truly got nothing that anyone would care about. It was a great opportunity to even become an apprentice for free and other free learning. However, that doesn't mean Shi Tian would stay that way, because he will definitely start his own INDIVIDUAL path once he finished building his foundation and is capable of doing so.

That's why I give it 5 stars since I know it's a rough start and given MC background it's hard to come up with plausible plot for MC early start. One of I think will work is MC taking the mantle of one mechanic.I'll still continue Reading since I'm really into Sci Fi genre especially if involves Mech. But man I wish for MC to take off into its own journey in discovery of the world and exploration of his Main class. I really like the premise of building your own Special Place/Secret society (Like the LOTM tarrot card and Amon Secret society). I hope MC creates one like that for reason like (Info/Resources/etc). One question does your novel encompasses space exploration? like they are not only people in the universe.

Spoiler ahead Definitely, given that the novel is inspired from The Legendary Mechanic, so of course there will be space exploration. I have so many ideas of it planned already and regarding your concern of resources… it’ll happen, albeit not fast. This novel is a slow burn and whatever you read that you think is unimportant is actually related and connects once you get further into the chapter. They might look like filler but in fact, they are quite pivotal to the storyline. 😄
