I lowered my review rating. I initially expected a lot from this book, but now the MC is annoying to me. He is a slave to the system and is surprised by things too often even though he knows the plot. I feel like I'm looking at a typical Japanese herbivorous MC, which makes me always dissatisfied with him. But the above is nothing compared to the MC confessing his love for women to do the system's mission. Basically, it's like a self-shaming moment that I can't accept. Why not make the heroines chase the MC instead of making the MC chase the women? To be honest, I don't like this situation.

Throwing the word slave around really casually when the only punishment the system ever said he'll get is it not working for a bit. What you mean to say is you just don't like systems and the fact that he uses it and every other criticism you have is that he isn't alpha enough when he has no power at all surrounded by beings that can kill him by accident this isn't actual criticism you just want the mc to have the mindset of a stupid 15 year old edgelord who just discovered Andrew tate
You may not know, but the Chinese novel that inspired the author has an MC with a better personality than this and he is not an edgelord, although the plot is similar to this book, but the MC there is better. That's why I complained to the author about Akira's annoying personality, couldn't he have used that MC's personality in the original Chinese work? Of course it doesn't need to be too similar, but just remove that cowardice and naivety.

yep, the novel that inspired this has a better MC I can subscribe to that opinion. That one is not that much of a scared cat except in front of people that can legitimately wipe him out in one strike and even then he calculates all his options before doing stuff

If the punishment is to lose the system which is the only thing with the potential to keep him alive when surrounded by monsters, then that is a severe punishment.
