To begin, I wish the synopsis was more attractive. It made the story sound like a novel that needed to be in the male lead category and overall lacked excitement. Secondly, the author is obviously most likely a fan of anime and manga based on the plot. I read a manga recently with a plot very very similar to this, not saying the story is stolen or anything…no no no, I’m just saying it could’ve been a bit more original. Lastly, as an avid reader of romance novels, I honestly do not think this novel will do very well in the female lead category. Its themes and elements are more suited for male audiences. However, updates are consistent and the grammar is more than decent. There was unfortunately no poetry in the wording so reading didn’t immerse me in the novel but it’s best quality is that it is a good plot. I hope the author isn’t negatively swayed by my words, but this is my honest review. All the best with your writing 🫶

LIKEIt would most certainly do a lot better in the male lead category but I do believe you have two options: 1. Allow more romance into the novel and let it remain in the female lead category. Or 2. Have the female lead share the protagonist role with a male lead and put the novel in the male lead category. Ultimately it’s up to you, but these are the options I’m seeing for you to achieve success in either category. Also, you’ll need to change the cover, there’s a saying that says don’t just a book by its cover, but the readers always do. I suggest getting a more attractive cover design. Thank you for considering my advice. 😊
femme_fatale:Don't panic about the negativity. I just needed this kind of review below my novel, so I'm really thankful 🤗 And considering your advice, should I put it in the male lead category? I only chose the female lead category because the main character is female. Please tell me what you think about this.
Your advice for a new author was really great but sorry I can't let any of the options you suggested happen. :(
