I think I get it (though I may be wrong) In the first chapter I get that Nilos have a daughter named Jasmine (I haven't discovered his wife yet), And Jasmine must have been a little girl at that time. Henry and Rose are married. Orion had a pregnant wife who was injured, which isn't introduced yet. And after a generation has passed Jasmine (Nilos' daughter) has a daughter and that's Jessica. Am I right..?

Actually, the synopsis is good, but the conversation between Seraphine and Alice, which is not related to the story, may come off as a different thing for the readers. It slightly feels as if they(the characters) are promoting their own story. And anything different always has to face people's opinions, whether they like it or not. Anyways, this is what I think :)
