Hello everyone! I just wanted to write a thank you note here, as I know many people might not see it if I post it in a chapter. Although I suppose many people won't see if it is here either. (So if you see it, congrats! You've won hide and seek!) I just wanted to say thank you all for your support. Today The Legendary Janitor broke through 1000 collections, and I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. I originally started writing this novel with the hopes of reaching 100 collections, thinking that if that many people saw my story and thought it worth their time, it would be worth writing. Truly, it's a bit cliché to say, but I can't really believe that this has happened. I know that TLJ isn't exactly a typical story that finds traction on Webnovel. It's humor, it's slice of life, it's an overemphasis on world building and details that not everyone will appreciate. In many ways, even for me, it isn't a story that is ideal, but rather a story that I find fun to write and fun to explore. MISERY!I'm sorry this just hit wrong for me.I'm a blue collar worker in a dead end job, and I listen to web novel to escape that.This story is probably hilarious in China, but for me it's too much pain instead of slapstick.Fourth wall is constantly broken, taking the reader by the shoulder and complaining about kids today,the bad job market, how ridiculous a cultivation world is-- I'd say that it's a parody of the whole cultivation novel genre. The MC has endless bad luck after he is swept away from his mediocre life as a 20 year old to become a hopeless old man who's golden finger is to be a janitor in a cultivation academy, and level up from cleaning.That alone could have been enough or even epic. But as of 21 chapters in, it was too miserable for me to endure anymore.It's definitely meant to be tongue in cheek but it hit too close to home for me to enjoy.

Hello Author Pen, From the first few chapters that I have read I can say that it's a engaging story, esp with the start and how you introduced comedy side to a xianxia novel. I really like it and it's new. The writing is so well done it's very easy to understand and it's engaging.

The first few chapters that I've read was really engaging, I love the start of the book and the character design is awesome

The story is filled with unnecessary details that doesn’t help with the story progression.I read till 67th chapter but the story hasn’t moved much. My advice to author would be to trim the unnecessary fillers and streamline the story a bit.

This story has a very interesting narrative approach that allows the reader to delve into the life of Di Tou, a young man who considers his life boring and unremarkable. The writing is clear and effective, which makes it easy to immerse oneself in the story. The author's skill lies in his ability to take the reader through Di Tou's routine, making the story feel realistic and believable. A great job, it kept me entertained!

Hahaha man, its fresh for me with that old man bast*rd. But every chapter its to short. How much word it takes ? less than 1000 ? i think its better you make for more than 1000 word per chapter

Story itself is pretty interesting but the amount of info dumps gets annoying. At this point I'm skipping almost half of each chapter cause it's info dump. If that wasnt enough, author decided to add his own narrations after every action of MC.
