A very impressive read, the story really draws you in with every paragraph, from the start of a story to the history of the world, Terra. Excellent writing and very realistic situations, just from the start of the story you read about an apocalype and 21 mysterious warriors that defended the planet. Even interesting is the concept of monsters and towers adapted into the story. This story really puts you at the edge of your seat. And it continues to do so.

Ok, let's begin with starting that this novel description in detail is unreal. If I have to compare this novel descriptive ability, then it's on par with "Lord of the Mysteries". Everything was explained in precise detail and so was the action that allows you to have imagery of what the scene was like. Writing Quality- 5/5, As I've said, this novel's grammar is above-average and could be on par with some of the top novels. There wasn't a paragraph or sentence that I read have some problems with it. Not to mention, the author is capable of using some high vocabulary words and it amazed me. Stability of Updates- This is a more straightforward point and it's 5/5. The novel is updated every day, so unless the author decides to take a hiatus, the rating shall remain at 5. Story Development- 5/5, I know people might think I'm just bootlicking the author, but no. Why I give this a 5/5 because of the detailed prelude of the first volume that gives us the background that we need to understand what is going on and what the novel is about. Not to mention, the author was able to create a character, namely, the grandma, and gave us a realistic feel of her character being real. It didn't even take me a few minutes before I was immersed in the storyline and connected to the character. Note: once you finish the prelude, then you will understand what I mean. I can't give many spoilers because it'll ruin the fun for you. Character Design- 4/5, Although the main character, Jackson and his grandma was well created and managed to immerse me, there were simply too many characters introduced in the latter part. It was overwhelming at times that I don't even remember who's who and what was her role again in the story. It just kind of feel a bit lackluster since we didn't receive as much detail and background of the character compared to the Main Character and his grandma. Hopefully, in the latter chapters, the author can continue to introduce the character slowly and let the reader have a breather to get to know the character well before storming off to another introduction. World Background- 5/5, The world is described beautifully in the prelude and already gave a glimpse of what the world had become and how it's beginning to operate. I especially love the part where the author spends a lot of attention in detail regarding how humans have lost their advanced technology and kind of regressed to medieval kind of times. And a bonus point is added for the clever usage of Warlord which is similar to history where Warlords abused their power and take control of lands. TLDR: Overall, the novel is definitely at the top percentile with its well-constructed story and detailed explanation of actions from the main character, Jackson or Jax. On top of that, there are little to zero grammatical mistakes and you can read smoothly. Though, if you are the type to not enjoy novels such as "Lord of the Mysteries", then the attention to detail might bore you. This novel takes the slow pace road and doesn't rush things which is great. This was reviewed by a Doraemon on December 14, 2022

There are spoilers in this review please read with caution :) Based on the 10 chapters of the novel that I have read, it is clear that the world building is well thought out and immersive. The setting of the story, Duskgate, is a city surrounded by stone walls that is built on top of an ancient tower known as God's Tower. The existence of these towers, which can be found throughout the world, has had a profound impact on society and has led to the formation of organizations like The Climber's Association, which is focused on ascending the towers. The characters in the novel are also well-developed and dynamic. Jackson, the protagonist, is a strong and determined individual who has faced numerous challenges throughout his life, including the disappearance of his father and the death of his grandmother. Despite these tragedies, he remains determined to uncover the truth and find his place in the world. One aspect that could have been improved upon in the novel is the pacing. At times, the story feels slow and dragged out, particularly in the earlier chapters. However, the action and tension pick up significantly as the story progresses, making for a more engaging and thrilling read. Again this is my opinion based on the 10th chapter. Overall, the world building and characters in the novel are well-crafted and provide a solid foundation for the story. Some tightening up of the pacing would have made for a more cohesive and enjoyable reading experience. One quote from the novel that particularly stands out is when Jackson's father writes in his diary, "You will find all the answers at the top of God's Tower." The mystery surrounding Jackson's father is an interesting and intriguing aspect of the story. It is clear that his father has been absent for much of Jackson's life, but there are hints that he may still be alive and that there are forces preventing him from returning home. The mention of God's Tower and the clues left behind in his father's diary suggest that there may be a deeper mystery at play, possibly involving the towers and the forces that control them. This adds a layer of mystery and intrigue to the story and leaves readers wanting to know more. Characteristics of Jackson in my perspective: Jackson seems to be a determined and resilient individual who has faced a lot of hardship in his life. He has lost his father and grandmother and has been forced to live in an orphanage, where he has been subjected to physical labor and dangerous tasks. Despite these challenges, he remains determined to find his missing grandmother and uncover the truth about his father's disappearance. He is also described as being physically fit and skilled in martial arts, as he is shown practicing with wooden sticks in the courtyard. Additionally, he seems to be kind and empathetic, as he is concerned about the well-being of his fellow orphans and is willing to help them in any way he can. Overall, Jackson seems to be a strong and resourceful character who is not afraid to face adversity and is driven to uncover the truth.

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR
