This a slow burn, edgy teenager story with a nerfed nanite system whose primary role so far is healing and very slowly upgrading our MC. Anything else requires a specific knife from a bored out corpo somewhere in Night City (good luck with that). It's an OK story, but the pacing is too slow, and the MC annoys me to no end.

wow it's almost like, an unfinished set of nanites would be kinda useless wouldn't it, and it's almost like if they didn't upgrade him slowly he'd die, even then if you read more than 10 chapters you wouldn't think that

Nah nanites are pretty nerfed. The upgrade is more so for advanced upgrades of animals. Like he did for his head something related to a woodpecker. On top of that lots of chapters wasted on not trusting nanites. When he already knew that they could take over whenever. At that point why even be skeptic. Even now at chapter 133. He has been hesitant and no mention of brain upgrades. Since he keeps mentioning he doesn’t want his brain touched. Like really? They already can take over your body. Why keep trying to hold yourself back when they could take over whenever. Regardless, nanites from my point of view could have done more. They just get put on to the side most of the time. There to level up the Mc. when he fights the next big thing.
That's what ignorance is . it's hard to live not knowing what well happen next. But we still live 😂😂😂😂
