Intolerable MC makes this novel unreadable in my opinion. The MCs power is a kind of adaptability, everyone including him knows this. We get this sob story about how awful his life has been because he is a cripple, which is almost instantly solved just from him getting injured once and adapting. We find out then, that regardless of his woes and all the intelligent scientists and X-MEN that no one has ever suggested that the MC train physically at all or check to see his adaption. It is as if the MC and everyone else has made literally zero effort, not even a paper cut on his arm, to see how he adapts. On top of that we get the fking sob story from the goodie two shoes MC about him being a cripple while he was too stupid and lazy to do literally anything at all to improve his situation. I also skipped to the most recent chapter and the MC goes on this cringe “life is sacred” “no kill rant” and has to force himself to kill a man who r*ped 20 children to save an innocent little girls life. If that will not give you a clue with how delusional and pathetic this MC is then by all means you might enjoy reading this. Lastly, I hate the MCs written accent, it is annoying to read, and his demeanor, personality, incompetentence, softness, and idioicy disgust me beyond belief.

thanks for saving my brain cells and time, idiotism - the fact that his cripple and his leisure should be reading and watching tv yet his an idiot that is a minus. his personality should be mature yet still a child mature enough to know what to do but still a child for he still lack foresight and wisdom to back is matureness if personality is not that another minus. incompetence from what you said it could be because he does maximize his power which he should all his childhood the look of pity and his own envy should make his stronger from his cripple self, specially if he himself always dream of not being cripple do things that he wish he could do. but this is just my opinion

Mc isn't perfect, or rather just normal. He has an interesting power which is adaptability, and he's currently using it to get physically strong, strong enough to get toe to toe with likes of abomination. You can look up my reading history, if you like what I've commented on so far, then you're likely to enjoy this one too.

well to be fair though, there is batman so i don't mind mc unique fet!shes (as long as he doesn't allow others to walk all over him again and again or if it can be helped in the first place). Also (although I do get why but) all the authors especially the comic book writers don't improve their heroes and mostly villains beyond a certain point even though it makes no logical sense for most of them to be just one type/kind of hero or /villian, for example peter can be more than just spiderman as he had no doubt, over the course of two decades long career, found many ways to surpass his limits and lets say become a telepath, immortal, mage, or just whatever but NO, they don't and don't seem to mind the status quo, and the foolishness or/and absurdity of whole scenario i.e. the so comic book logic. Also on a side note though, when in fanfictions, some random dude end up accumulating powers left and right and seemingly so easily at that, and although it does make sense as any one of us will do the same given the same opportunity (thus wanting to see a more active mc in a fic), it also very quickly alienates the readers and even destroys the whole narrative of going back and forth bs that we have become accustomed of comic books to always have like iron man is just iron man and cannot ever develop other powers (permanently) no matter how easy and harmless the whole procedure might be.
