LIKEanother harem hater. there are cultures in the real world that allow harem you know? why do you have to try to impose your values in a magical world in a fanfic? Never understood what there is to hate in harem, even if you personaly like romance, it doesn't mean that you have to hate a novel just because MC has more than one love interest? I have seen many harem where relationships where well made and explained at the same time, and not all romance have well explored relationships so at the end it is all on the author to make a good story and harem or non harem doesn't change a thing
It looks like a question to me… and, I too am not a big fan of harem. It can get really annoying. If the author can make a good harem while actually doing the story, good on them. But most of the time when an author tries to do harem, it turns into a cringy cesspool of filler chapters about spending time with the harem. And the ff usually goes from “good.” to “I would rather not read this.”. And on the note of harems in the real world. To my knowledge it is not practiced in most 1st world countries. And if it is, it is only a very small percentage, like less than 1% of the population. As for the HP world to my knowledge there is no magical family that openly does it. Also why do you have to impose your harem loving values on the ff HP world. Don’t you know that there are cultures in the real world that don’t allow harems.

i'm not imposing my values to me if the author goes with harem or romance it is the same, it is his fanfic my problem is that in every novel i read tgere are always guys who sask "not harem right?" as if it is wrong for there to be harem. I like too reading single romance, but this doesn't mean that harem must suck. At the end be it romance or harem as long as the author is good the stroy will be good

I can agree with you on the fact of: if the author is good the story is good.

bro... what's wrong with asking if the novel has harem or not... not all people like both harem and non harem novels... so people prefer non harem novel and just don't like harem novels and do not want read them... it just a preference.. when there is no tag about it then you can not tell without reading the novel... that why they ask in the review so that people can avoid reading what they do not prefer...

Rtaher than values it’s about the quality of writing. Most authors screw up hard when writing a harem fic and very VERY few write good harem fics

You say it as if all single pairing author write great romance, i’ve read just as many bad and incipid single pairing romance as i’ve read bad harem, the only defining factor is how good the author is, be it harem or single-pairing
