In less than 10 chapters the FL’s name went from Niaoniao to Wenxian to QianQian to Grace to MiaoMiao. Main ML switches from Duke to Prince and was at one time called “Shaw.” FL’s loyal maid switches from Angelica to Dan Gui. It’s also not clear, at least up to the point I’m reading, why she was raised in the country? It was explained that her mother was the first wife but her parents divorced. Not clear if her mother’s background was low and her father remarries someone with a better family? Interactions between FL and ML are funny and cute but the random name changes (especially for the FL!) are bothersome.

Is it some sort of trend now for there to be no introduction of the charcters, not even the fl or ml? The story jumps straight into action without so much as a description of any characters involved, making it really confusing to understand what is happening. Plus the random name switches from prince to duke and angelica to dan gui. This reeks of badly edited MTL and is the second book in a row from this week's trial read that has no background info of the characters and seems to be missing the first major chunk of the story.
