I just want to remind people that the author wrote "Don't criticize if you don't like it" in the synopsis. If they can't take criticism, the story isn't worth reading.

He isn't wrong. There is no need to criticize it if you dislike it. Everyone has their preferences. The best thing you could do is stay silent. After all, the author is trying their best to give readers a good story.

The best thing you could do is provide honest feedback.

Can honest feedback really be honest? Not to mention that even if it is honest, is it objective? Impossible. The author's story is subjective towards his own desires, views, and beliefs. Him or her not wanting your subjectivity is perfectly normal as those who want it. It shouldn't be a requirement instead of being optional. After all, you're putting your heart and soul into a story and someone comes along saying you have to change your ways to this or that. If it was you would you have listened? And even if it was a positive reply, those who talk the talk may not have walked the walk.

You post a novel online, in a place that can be reviewed, and even profit from it… and you expect it to be treated as your own personal diary??? There’s so many levels of illogical in your argument that I can’t even begin to unravel it. If you don’t want others commenting on your writing you should keep it to yourself.

Dude, I get where you're coming from, but hear me out. Criticism isn't always a downer; sometimes, it’s a hidden gem. Ignoring feedback, even the subjective stuff, is like shutting the door on fresh ideas that could increase the quality of your story. Let's face it, some things just make a story pop, solid characters, real talk in dialogues, purposeful roles for every character, and killer world-building. These aren’t rules but they’re literary tools and techniques that can up the level of your writing as an author. If your missing these things which a lot of web novel authors tend to, then ignoring criticism or just assuming they’re hating always isn’t very open minded and is a disservice to one self as an author in my opinion. Also you’re posting the story online on a platform like this then criticism is inevitable, being ready for it sets the tone. Ignoring feedback, even if it’s a bit subjective, is like dodging a learning curve.

He just said don’t spread hate. If you dislike it, it is fine. Also, same hold true to critized the book, if you were to honestly point out mistake and not for the purpose of projecting some inner negativity to the author. By writing this review, and putting unfair rating. You are already giving untoward negativity to the author. Maybe 🤔 the author hit your sore spot with that line, so you can’t help but project hate. But please look at things in positive light and delete this review. Everyone down sometimes, but it is in your best interest and others not to spread it. Seek help instead if you can.

No sore spot hit there friend, you don't need to imply that something is wrong with me because I don't like artists who can't take criticism. It's insulting and someone else could get angry for that. Nonetheless you're right, my review was based sorely on the fact that the author doesn't take criticism. I will read the whole story and point out the good and the bad things in it and if there is no redeeming points in it, I will utterly crush it. I know that It's hard for someone to do their thing and be criticised when they are trying their best but I stand by the point that It's the only thing that makes us strive for greatness. There is no point for affirmation if a person can't better themselves by listening to the bad rhings people think about their things. ESPECIALLY when it comes to art.

I just want end all these comments by saying that this is just a translation and not an original so even at providing the feedback, no story is gonna change. At the very best, it can only improve the translation quality. And by the way I agree with both the point of views mentioned here. I am reader and a newly trying writer who is getting such feedback, so, my view my be biased but it will be less than the person who is only one side of the coin. Anyway, if you want to give a try to my novel, it’s there for you. I tied my best, but don’t have too high hopes. I will be giving around 57/ 100 to my own novel as honest review so choice is yours. But I will be waiting if you do want to provide feedback on my story. Thank you
