Guess I should have recognized the author or other stories the author has written, because once I got to Ch. 40 I realized that this author likes to start with an MC who is supported very much by a family (or close friends) only to have them taken away for the convenience of MC's growth. I'll stop here.

I share the same opinion for many novel. "Oh a reincarnated MC 10 years before", "Oh a useless boy who is doted with a system" "Oh a MC with the poorest talent going to live a life of trash, Oh wait, this is not the poorest talent but the more powerfull one" etc. but i like some of these story because the writing is good (not poor, not too much for exceed the light novel range) or/and the storyline is good or/and the author work on the psychos of the differents characters or/and the world background is good or/and the joke are good. etc. But i'm able to differentiate thing. I can drop some novel know are "one of the best" for many people, i know they are really good but not to my taste. There is no need to take out the sign "i'm not a pro reviewer" and the other sign "subjectivity". Don't post a critic or just give à 4.5 and explain it's not to your taste. You can find many worst novel here if you just want to trashtalk.
Well, it's a normal "Heroes Journey". First, you have the hero and he needs to get things done. But he doesn't. After that, something happens to his personal life like a kidnapped sister, and he begins his journey to get her back, and to be a hero. That's basic story telling stuff. So, if this Author is doing that, and he has the "same" story telling at the beginning... Why not? I see nothing wrong with it. I started reading this novel now, and I will see how good or forced it was made out. But overall, it's just your personal preferences It seems. Dunno why it deserves less stars, if it's just not your cup of tea. I read only about that you dropped it because of this one thing. Would love to hear real criticism, so I know what kind of book this is. But overall your review is kinda useless. Just MY opinion, and in my eyes.
I am not here, reading a web novel, to strive to be a professional critic. Reviews ARE subjective, and if anyone shares the same opinion as me it will simply save them time lol

"Don't take out the sign 'subjectivity' and 'I am not a pro reviewer' lol another person on their high horse. Do you genuinely expect every person who reads something to be completely objective*? We aren't fking robots. People (at least myself) read reviews to get an idea if they would like the novel or not. If I am just talking trash why do people like or agree with some of my comments? Here is a hint, its generally because they agree! At least I explain why I didn't like it, instead of just posting a review that says "trash" and give it 1 star. Maybe I should try it next time.
