Jing Chen disclosed that he has somebody he already likes but will still treat her well and may possibly stay in the marriage if things changes in that 3 years. Jing Chen's actions makes Su Wan feel like he truly likes her but he suddenly asks for divorce on their 2nd year anniversary. Su Wan decides to keep her pregnancy a secret. What this story has is the typical contract marriage, two faced first love, female lead in love with male lead for xx number of years, and eventual regret of male lead. What I dislike the most is the male lead's disrespect of her. Yes, he disclosed that he liked someone else but he could still wait after his divorce to flaunt his side love all he wants. He doesn't need to call her names like "leftovers" or get jealous because that's not his right anymore. If he wants that respect, he shouldn't have put her in that position. We already know that he probably fell in love with female lead somewhere in their 2 years cause how can one treat another so well without some sort of good feelings? So all he does now is act all jealous. Wish that female lead can grow a bit more of a backbone for herself without the focus of the novel being too much about their love and who gets in their way (can get a bit boring in the long run if it has a lot of chapters). But this isn't such a horrible read, just not enough spunk of its own to make the characters more likable.

I read this book for a while and abandoned it. I wonder if the author really like abusive kind of relationship.
Right?it pains me how can the author makes the fl so stupid..I bet most woman will be strong willed once they get pregnant,mother's instict makes them stronger.It's like stupidity at its finest.

And what? We're just wasting our time reading this kind of stupid story with hundreds of chapters when we should've put our time on stories and books who really deserves our time and effort.
She deserves to suffer for being with some like that and then getting back with him.
Especially in this day of age that women are so empowered. Even though a contract marriage, there should be clauses to protect the sanctity of the marriage and FL to be more liberated - so to speak .
I didn’t get it when is she dying? Did I miss something? 🤯 I thought because of the Synopsis that said she is dying and because of a mysterious coincidence she wasn’t dead and seen again by her Ex husband who wanted her back… so I thought well the plot twist is maybe good because someone died but didn’t died .. but I can’t that scene …
