I can't reconcile the fact that the parents love her but won't be there for the marriage 🤔.... This only happens when the kids elope and don't have their parents'blessings or due to national security or something that the child and parents are apart. (At least that's what I know of people in my circle who got married far away from their homeland and do not have the funds to travel far)

That's very pitiful. It's not the child's fault but they live with the stigma. Not that I'm condoning a pre-marital relationship, but just stating a sad state of the child
