Honestly, the FL is the weakest FL in all chinese novels I‘ve read. A woman with no dignity and self-respect for herself. She still wants to be with the man who - wanted to divorce her for another woman - called her in public leftover! - always! chooses the other woman over her - never! believes her - caused the dead! of their unborn child because he chose to believe his mistress again! and chose to save that „innocent“ woman who he already knew! lied to him about lots of things like her „broken legs“ in the past - still doesn’t want to deal with the mistress who lied to him and got men to kill his wife! - thinks that she could cheat on him with a married man and get pregnant with his child. I could go on and on. Honestly, I could never be with a man who has another woman in his heart and always thinks bad of me. This ML is the biggest scum and it’s a shame that the FL is still with him. For me there’s no redemption for the ML. Emotional cheating is still cheating and it can hurt even for than physical cheating. I had hoped that her miscarriage and near death experience were the last wake up call for the FL. But no, it’s still not enough for her to divorce him. At this point she deserves to be this miserable, as she chooses it herself. Again and again. I‘m so tired, that’s why I will stop reading this story at chapter 205. I need a story with a strong FL. This FL is a really bad role model for all young girls and woman.

== impression as of ch 30 == Su Wan and Jing Chen are in a contract marriage for 3 years. Jing Chen disclosed that he has somebody he already likes but will still treat her well and may possibly stay in the marriage if things changes in that 3 years. Jing Chen's actions makes Su Wan feel like he truly likes her but he suddenly asks for divorce on their 2nd year anniversary. Su Wan decides to keep her pregnancy a secret. What this story has is the typical contract marriage, two faced first love, female lead in love with male lead for xx number of years, and eventual regret of male lead. What I dislike the most is the male lead's disrespect of her. Yes, he disclosed that he liked someone else but he could still wait after his divorce to flaunt his side love all he wants. He doesn't need to call her names like "leftovers" or get jealous because that's not his right anymore. If he wants that respect, he shouldn't have put her in that position. We already know that he probably fell in love with female lead somewhere in their 2 years cause how can one treat another so well without some sort of good feelings? So all he does now is act all jealous. Wish that female lead can grow a bit more of a backbone for herself without the focus of the novel being too much about their love and who gets in their way (can get a bit boring in the long run if it has a lot of chapters). But this isn't such a horrible read, just not enough spunk of its own to make the characters more likable.

Ive tried reading this multiple times and I cant. Its trashiest if trash. My head hurts from trying to get theough the 200some chapters so far, and I only did that because it was limited free…. Dont torture yourselves
