It's a intriguing novel to say at the least. I don't normally review but it shows the Mcs progression alot more than I expected. He is a broken man inside and n his intelligence being lowered doesn't help. He can't outsmart an entire barrack of people which is why I say it's intriguing the Mc seems more human as he's selfish and does what he wants. His attachment to his family is there but in the start it shows conflicted feelings about them. He has been a player and he's been a npc - he caused destruction as a quest now he has to avoid such things as a npc. His mentality makes sense to survive but you gotta remember he experiences both things. Is he a savour no - is he a villain no he's just a human in a world where nothing makes sense.
