Reverend Insanity is pretty much the only novel with cultivation completely built on Gu for its entire universe. With an MC named Fang Yuan.

It's really good and completely different from Reverend Insanity, you should read it.

And this is a cultivation system, not a Gu based world. Did you even read the novel, or at least the synopsis? It looks like you just say Fang Yuan and Gu, and didn't even bother giving it a look. Also, it would be really good if other authors use the Reverend Insanity system, why should it be kept in the dust forever?

Someone makes a game about a guy named Mario rescuing a princess. Someone makes a game about an android 2B in a post-apocalyptic world. Someone writes a book about the orphaned Harry Potter going to wizard world. Being inspired by something and wanting to make your own story/game based off certain elements is great. When you can’t even be bothered to come up with a name for your MC, but just copy and paste though… At that point the way I look at it shifts from “It’s heavily inspired by something” to “Likely just someone copying an amazing work cause they want to get easy money/fame/reader base growth by leeching off the popularity of that great work.” You could also think of it like videos. Many people make videos on the same thing, whether it be art, science, games, cooking, music, etc. Lets take horror videos for an example. People draw/animate based off scary stories. If A makes a video about… let’s say monsters under the bed, then it gets really popular. Other YouTubers notice viewers like it, and make their own versions. Which is great. And then B makes a video too, but just copies and pastes A’s title and thumbnail. You get the point? Also yes, I read the synopsis, how else would I figure out the MC’s name is Fang Yuan?

You're just overreacting, it's true that calling him Fang Yuan is quite shameless for views, but it's just a name, it's not like Reverend Insanity is the first one who used that name neither did he invent it. You're just being a drama queen. Other then the name and him using Gu, which every cultivation novel in existence has. It's completely different. And did you even read it? It's really good. Well, need money, if it's not blatant stealing than just give him some leeway.
