Review Detail of AlexTor in Tyranny of Steel

The mc background is decent, very knowledgeable army engineer with photographic memory reincarnating in the medieval era germany. This covers a lot of things like the inventions the mc will introduce to this parallel eart. Then plot armors all over the place. Deaf and blind castle servants, non existent bodyguards and castle guards, very trusty peasants, superspeed inventing and creation of steel products, etc. It was hilarious reading his surprise when he was informed that his concubine was pregnant, what do you expect when you do it every night. Reading about mc so smart and brilliant almost every chapter then he does the stupidiest of things. Needs a lot of improvement in plot building and character development. It would have been nice reading more detail about how he teaches recipes, invention building, army buildup and territory development.

wholly agree with your review. There are just too many holes in the story and details missing that I as a kingdom-building fan, just couldn't tolerate. He should've paced the story a bit more slowly and discussed the intricacies of the inventions and the ruling. My review is above yours if you wanna check it out.

I am inclined to agree with both of you, in terms of the technological development details and character development this novel comes off as more like "Release That Witch" lite I am trying to decide if I should give up on this, or does the writing get better

Please suggest me some kingdom building novels with mature mc.(suggest except Release the witch: already finished)

totally agreed it started with good foundation and then the author rushed things makeing plot holes then covered with plot armor and down graded the novel to second grade

Can you recommend a good world-building book?

Legends Never Die by IdeasGuy. It hasn't gotten to the kingdom building part yet, but the build-up to that is very good. Also, Swiss Arms, I forget what the author is called
