A well written thought out cultivation story that does not take itself too seriously. It leans into the comedy while still having a cohesive and entertaining story. The protagonist, while not a saint, is not a complete a****** like some other protagonists who are op, looking at you monster paradise and monster pet evolution. Read this book it is quite a good and fun read.

I still feel the monetary adjustment is off a single blade of that quality should take around 2000 years to grow and if 1000 annual salary the price should be about 2 million. It is not entirely clear if the grass is more or less valuable then the eye, honestly it seems it's more valuable, but even if someone was desperate paying that much of a mark up does not make sense. This also raising the question who are these people that they can spend this kind of money so easily. I mean this guy is the head alchemist for a sect and he feels 1 mil is a lot. Are there people the high alchemist of the most powerful sects in the world or something. I feel some context needs to be given or this is a translation issue, not sure what original language is.

As noble as this character appears for his loyalty he is so selfish he can't see past his nose. He ignores the people he is meant to protect, destroys the land, and wastes resources. The worst part of this is if he was just a selfish person who wished to see gain for himself his actions could be considered somewhat competent by his own limited knowledge of the situation, but no this guy is taking the going down with the ship and bringing as many people as he can method. When I first read this I thought "wow this guy is so honorable, not even giving up in the face of certain defeat" I realize now this is not honor this is not even pride, this is just blind stubbornness to see reality. The saddest part is that the world is filled with people like this
