LIKEFirst thing's first, about the levelling stats of his system, this story has light fantasy. It means that U won't focus on his stats but the actual story. The stats and the numbers included are all part of "showing". Since I made a game-like story, I have to show how weak he is compared his companions/enemeis. Second, Arthur killed the Ogre/Uruk-hai by accident. The last blow came from the ground/water that crushed Uruk-hai's body. Although the monster died from falling, it doesn't mean that Arthur will get the experience. Uruk-hai technically died from Nature, and not from Arthur's spells or strength. Third is the stupid part.... Stupid is a big word. If I had to compare Arthur to any superhero, I would say I got my reference from Spiderman. Arthur has to be a hero, since that's the dream he always sought for. However, his actions made him a reckless and stubborn, probably immature at the first run of his journey. A hero always needs to stand on other people. They protect the weak and give hope to others. If you're ideals is to kill others just because they want to kill you, that's you. There are lot of people who would spare someone's life and accept the horrible situation. There are others there like the king himself, King Arthur, Lancelot, Fenrir, would gladly kill someone who defies them. But not Arthur. Even Merleen killed someone for the sake of Arthur. But Arthur wants a different way to solve things. If you're thinking that not killing anyone is my logic, you're wrong. I hold grudges to people and I would even return the favour to them. Arthur isn't like me, so it's fun for me to watch his adventure. Have you ever heard of the Arthurian tales? I slightly read some of the details and arcs of King Arthur. It's an old age of swords like you've said, mixed with the game-like features. Call it anything you like. Garbage. Trash. Unreadable. But just be consistent of your "ideals". This is what being a hero should supposed to be. I may have done something to improve my chapters, and I would agree to that. I'm just a single man who does the stories. I am bound to make mistakes. But if you place yourself for other's sake with or without powers, you're a hero. Just like we all have seen in Marvel movies. And I really love this line that Peter Parker said from the Civil War movie, which became the birth mark of this story. "If you can do things that I can, but you don't, and then the bad things happen. It happens because of you." Thanks for your in-depth personal opinion about the story. Haters and supporters are welcomed to read my book. I just hope that readers would know that everyone one of us are heroes. This is the story's all about.
