The starting was really good. It had good thing going on but as soon as it hit chapter 40 it just turned into one of the stupidest rom-com. I mean I don't mind a little romance in an action novel, it brings a little colour to the story and the MC builds a little character. Although the mc here made "clear" he wasn't going to have a relationship but reading up to chapter 85 it just became a painfully forced rom-com. The whole situation with Alea was incredibly forced. I mean if the genders were reversed and the mc was female Alea would haven one the villains for bothering the MC this much about joining her team. And Mc is too beta for someone who wants to "screw the world".

LIKEsince you were willing to read a spoiler comment. let me tell you that it's really not like they pointed out. like. the fact they can't handle tiny implications of romance and immediately call it a "rom-com" is kinda sad. I've read up to current and there's still barely anything that could be called romance. there's flirting. and jesting. but nothing overly romantic. Theo just doesn't see reason for romance. if you read, you'll find out why that is.
that wasnt even his point., it was the over clingyness of the girl
If you want to readd it commit to reading past 100 chapters bc I get the feeling this person is talking about this character really annoyed me too but if you keep reading it is clear the mc isn't romantically interested so I don't see it being a reason to not read the story. this forced relationship is so the mc can progress and not be stuck forever in this country it is a necessity in the plot so yeah it's forced but it still makes sense enough to let that go.
