This comment baffles me, its like 10 chapters in and the amount of chinese nationalism is off the charts ridiculous and its even started with the japan racism as the cherry on top. This is a no go story for me.

by 'legitimate' I meant that if the parallel world C.h..i..n.a in this story did all the stuff that it did, then ofcourse nationalistic sentiments are legitimate Plus the problem with c.h.i.na(as long as we are concerned) is C..C..P, and its obsessive desire to hold onto its authority by any means required, so much so that they try to stir the international community in an authoritarian direction.... as a long term way to legitimise their existence And we all know thier attitude towards human rights

And in novel they say China has great heritage then anyone country and all plan to steal them. And also authors say that only China keeps civilians safe whereas other countries discarded civilians without mercy for survival. You all do realize these stories aren't real right? Like I understand the nationalism is used a lot in this but I would hate to see how you would act if a story like this was about Africa ?
