Subtract 4 for the amount of years in high schools and you got 14. 13 would be 8th grade. High schools up north are 3 years with 3 years of junior high, and elementary goes up to 6th grade. In the south, you have kindergarten through 5th for elementary, 6th to 8th for middle, and 9th-12th for high.
