Not really a shameless 5* review, as this novel really deserves those stars and even more. It is such a good novel that it compelled even me, the laziest dude on Earth, to start translating it. Just hope that it won't be taken down by the platform owners. If you want to read about an aspiring actor who has a cool personality and clairvoyance (of course), then this novel is your cup of tea. His interaction with real life celebrities is every bit as believable as it can possibly be for this type of novels, and also, his relationship with people close to him is really solid and makes you care for it a lot. The choice the author did when it comes to protag's love interest is pretty surprising considering that there so many attractive celebs, and yet all the more enjoyable because of it, not in spite of it. This novel will also teach you how to appreciate movies, and yep, music as well. You guessed it, our Renly will also dab in music, and dab he will.  P.S. I still can't get my head around the fact that Qidian actively ignores such a great novel. It is not like this novel is being unprofitable in China, aux contraire, it does make a lot of money. Well, not as much as Legge with IRAS, but still... right? Am I right though guys? Am I right? Give me a five!

You know what, normally i read about 50ch before making a review. But today you get an exception. The synopsis caught my attention, honesty well done, perfect for gettin a reader's attention. (I'll make a real review later, ya know, when I actually read the story lol.) But ya your right in that there just aren't many good showbiz novels rn. Either I've already read them or they get cancelled for miscellaneous reasons. Imma give this one a shot for the amazing synopsis. 👍

I read this novel till 400 to 450 chapters, on MTL. Then I dropped it because it was becoming too melodramatic, in addition to Slow-pace of the Plot. First 300 chapters are very good but slightly slow. But after 400 chapters, Mc takes acting too seriously as Mc takes unnecessary (debatable) risks like taking anti cancer treatment to act as cancer patient in 50-50 movie (which would have been bearable for me if this novel was fast paced but it's not) and I think after 400 chapters, it will be very hard for this novel to become popular. So, if you want to make this novel really popular then author, you have to take advantage that it's present weakness is only it's slow paced plot (after 400 chapters, there will be more and more weaknesses) and to counter act against this weakness of Slow-paced story, number of daily chapters released should increased to atleast 4 per day. I think, this method can boost this novel into top 50 original novels list until 400 chapters. This is just my opinion. Author, You can follow your own plan and ignore this comment.

I swaer to God I literally lost braincells reading chapter 42. Mc who is a Natural born Actor that impresses almost everyone that seen his acting from nobodys to even Hollywood Superstars/Actors can’t for some braindeath reason look food at Camera if its about Photography and not filming. This is literally impossible because thats literally the smallest requirement to even consider yourself as a Actor.

recommend anyone to read this,one of the best novels i have read. this is a perfect example of a hidden gem. what to say about the story-it is realistic(except cancel he died once else it there is no unrealistic scenes in the story)

The author seven cats is not good at writing plots and he’s sometimes ambitious in trying to make the story and characters real and profound but not hitting the mark because of his writing skills lacking. But the load of historic informations and attention to details on what happened back in time feels like the author is a historian. Which is the biggest factor in what kept me reading any of seven cats novel which not many appreciate. I love reading history of movies and celebrities and I wonder how a Chinese could research this so thoroughly
