This used to be an intersting fiction to read. This changed when the main character lost his backbone and became a glorified doormat. The continueous self sacrificing, obedient behaviour of the main character that comes into existence after a good amount of chapters has butchered my interest in this fiction. The author attempts to justify this behaviour by saying konoha is a militaristic village and he is but a civilian shinobi and thus must follow orders. Whether you agree with this or not I do believe many can agree this is not enjoyable to read about. Honestly the first part of the story and the second part are so polarising to one another it feels like both parts were written by different people. The first part by someone with a backbone and the second part by a glorified doormat. The most ridiculous part is he often volunteers for things that negatively effect him, and when he is about to be compensated or rewarded for his sacrifice he says payment or rewards are not required. This fiction should no longer be in the top 200 fanfictions let alone the 2nd place.

So.. Mc is a pushover? Welp, good to know. Kinda dumb to totally get subservient to a village (not a country) when the mc is an si which i assume came from modern day earth which is superior in most aspect compare to a hidden village. Plus if the village leaders are absolute authority then why are they such subservient to their fuedal lords and why does missing nin exist. Also author should really think twice before making a pussy mc, cause in a "Might makes right" kinda world. Pushover are always at the bottom of the foodchain. Nobody likes them and many uses them for their own gain. Anyways, thanks for this review and made me dodge a brain cell corroding bullet.
Honestly I highly doubt these are even people. It's more likely that names like ''Escobe'' who frequently pop up in the new reviews are bots. The actual top reviews are overwhelmingly negative yet the story somehow remains at 4+ stars? Totally no foul play here, not at all. As a reader who enjoys fanfics I want the top 200 to remain free from ''propped up by bots'' garbage like this because it hinders readers like myself and you to find the actual best/most popular fanfics.
Dragonia_101:your correct yet people are still giving it 5 stars rating some are even spamming 5 stars rating. it does show that it's only has such high ranking now is due to some people spamming 5 star rating
