It is never good to say that the MC is smart, which is decided by the readers when they see his actions and results. I will pass you some mental notes that I have; # 1 If the fanfic takes a character who is known for his cunning or perfect plans, don't read it unless you know other works by the author, they are generally disappointments. # 2 If the MC of the fanfic has a ridiculous name (some combination of the name of several characters or the like), don't expect something decent either. # 3 If it says Anti-Hero get ready to see Buddha in person, I really wish I could see a story with a True Neutral MC, focused on his benefit without giving a **** about it. # 4 If the author begins to nerfs the MC for the sake of the plot, he leaves the boat, once they start like this they will not stop, and depending on the person they will defend him with a cape and sword. # 5 If you are reading fanfic with a system or gamer, prepare yourself for forced plots with "missions", null own thinking of the mc, worse if it is a system with personality or entities behind the system. # 6 If the following happens "Tell X person you just met recently the source of your power as if you were saying it to yourself in a mirror" Instant drop.

OK, the only matou who get to live is Kariya and shinji, and you need to get something 8n your head that he was 10 so you don't expect him to be the strongest. And in fate everyone is smart, so even if the mc was the smartest, he can't fool everybody. And 'review'is to say what you think, not to say to the new readers to not read the fanfics. Well, the author of this novel is actually quite eccentric ... so ... let me give additional notes. 1. Don't expect something good to happen. 2. Don't expect the MC to match the tags. 3. Don't be surprised if a sudden change occurs in the middle of the story. 4. Always be aware of the Author. (His words are quite unreliable.)

I use reviews to decide whether to read novels, so I prefer there actually being good and bad reviews, if there's only bad reviews then there's probably a reason, but if there's only positive reviews then it looks like the author deletes the negative reviews, which will actually push me away I'll read both positive and negative reviews that contain meaningful content, if I do get pushed away by a negative review then it's probably because I wouldn't enjoy reading it anyways. Does it really matter if I'm pushed away by the explanation of a negative review versus dropping it shortly after picking it up?

If you drop it after reading some chapter I will have a satisfaction, that my work was bad enough to make someone else drop it from disappointment. If you get pushed away without reading I won't have a satisfaction in my heart.

I agree with you, it's nice to have both positive and negative reviews with meaningful content that describes what the individual feels about the novel and most importantly why they feel that way, using those reviews people like me can get an idea of whether we'd like the novel or not without having to read it, and besides a novel with no negative reviews appears like the author deletes negative reviews, and that really pushes me away Besides if a negative review does push me away then it's probably because it mentioned parts of the novel that I'd dislike anyways, who cares if I drop a novel after reading a review or 30 minutes after I start reading, either way the author wouldn't get a single stone or a positive review out of me And while I did decide not to read this novel your review was only a small part of it, the biggest part was the author's own attitude and response.

If I were to do that, I wouldn't give just a single novel special treatment, and I basically go through the top 100 or so original novels and fan-fics each day to see if there's any that I'd be interested in picking up, if I were to give each novel a trial read of 20 chapters (which is rather short to me, but generally long enough to see the quality of character develpment, world building, plot structure, and other features) that would be around 4000 chapters to go through, I have free time but nowhere near that much, hence I find it necessary to judge based on reviews as it's far more convenient then effectively going through two Chinese novel's worth of chapters to hopefully find interesting stories to read.

I won't, even ignoring everything they say about the main character I'm rather strict in regards to grammar so I likely wouldn't be able to read the story. I was even known as a harsher critic than my college writing teacher.

The only way to improve is to practice, maybe I will eventually read one of your novels, I wish you good luck with writing though. Speaking of my college writing class my critique was actually regarded higher than the teacher's only nobody would come to me unless they were desperate as I would pick out each and every flaw in their entire paper, I had even gotten a perfect score in the class as the teacher couldn't find anything to fault me with.
